A small editorial team. Real credentials.

ASMR Sanctuary is written and reviewed by a three-person editorial team combining cognitive neuroscience, breathwork and clinical CBT expertise. Every wellness article is cross-checked against current peer-reviewed literature before publication, and revisited at least once per quarter.

Meet the Editors

Cognitive Neuroscience

Dr. Lena Park, PhD

Reviews neuroscience-related content across the site. Eight years researching sound-based interventions, with particular focus on auditory perception and the autonomic effects of ambient soundscapes. Lena vets every claim that touches the brain, the nervous system or measured physiological response.

Breathwork & Mindfulness

Maya Reyes, RYT-500

Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) and breathwork facilitator with twelve years of teaching mindfulness in clinical and corporate settings. Maya reviews every breathing technique, meditation script and embodied-practice guide on the site for safety, accessibility and pedagogical clarity.

Clinical CBT

Tom Carver, CBT-T

Clinically trained Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with ten years in mental-health practice. Tom reviews articles on anxiety, stress, sleep hygiene and the boundary between self-help and professional care — making sure nothing on the site is presented as a substitute for clinical treatment.

Editorial Standards

  • Peer-reviewed sources only. Every wellness claim is grounded in a published, peer-reviewed study or an authoritative clinical body — not blogs, social media or anecdote.
  • Fact-checked quarterly. Each long-form article is re-reviewed at least once per quarter against current literature; outdated claims are corrected or removed.
  • Citations from PubMed, CDC, NIH and WHO. Where a primary study is unavailable, we link to evergreen pages from PubMed-indexed journals, the CDC, NIH (incl. NCCIH) and the WHO.
  • AI disclosure. When a draft is AI-assisted, the article is still reviewed end-to-end by a named human editor before publishing, and the disclosure is noted in the article footer.
  • Medical disclaimer. Articles are educational only and are not medical advice. Always consult a qualified clinician for personal concerns — particularly for sleep disorders, chronic anxiety, panic or mood symptoms.
