What data do we collect?

None. ASMR Sanctuary has no backend server, no database, no registration, and no login system. There is nothing to collect.

What is stored locally?

Some features use your browser's localStorage to save preferences and history so the app feels personal. This data never leaves your device. Examples:

  • asmr_theme — your chosen colour theme
  • asmr_sessions_v1 — session history (type, name, duration)
  • asmr_gratitude_v1 — gratitude journal entries
  • asmr_journal_v1 — journal entries
  • asmr_mood_v1 — mood log
  • asmr_challenge30_v1 — 30-day challenge progress
  • asmr_breathlab_v1 — saved breathing patterns

You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or using the Settings page.

No cookies are set by ASMR Sanctuary, not even session cookies.

Third-party services

ASMR Sanctuary does not load any third-party scripts, trackers, fonts, analytics platforms, or CDNs. All assets are served locally from the same origin.

Audio generation

All sounds on this site are generated in real time by the Web Audio API running inside your browser. No audio files are downloaded or uploaded.

Children

This site does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect nothing at all, COPPA compliance is automatic.

Changes to this policy

If the privacy practices ever change (e.g. analytics added in a future version), this page will be updated with a clear date stamp and the nature of the change.

Does ASMR Sanctuary collect any personal data?
No. There is no backend server, no database, and no registration system, so there is nothing to collect. The site runs entirely in your browser and has no way to receive or store data about you remotely.
Do I need an account to use the site?
No. ASMR Sanctuary has no login system and never asks for an email address or password. Every feature, including saved sessions and journal entries, works without signing up for anything.
Where is my data actually stored?
Preferences and history (theme, session history, journal and gratitude entries, mood log, challenge progress, saved breathing patterns) are saved in your browser's localStorage. That data stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
Does this site use cookies?
No. ASMR Sanctuary does not set any cookies, including session cookies. All persistence is handled through localStorage, which is a separate browser storage mechanism that never gets sent to a server.
Does the site use analytics or tracking scripts?
No. There are no third-party analytics platforms, trackers, ad scripts, or CDNs loaded on this site. All CSS, JavaScript, fonts, and images are served from the same origin.
How can I delete my data?
Open the Settings page and use the clear-data option, or clear your browser's local storage for this site manually through your browser's settings. Either method removes everything instantly since nothing is stored elsewhere.
Are the ASMR sounds downloaded or uploaded anywhere?
No. Every sound is generated live in your browser using the Web Audio API. No audio files are downloaded from a server and nothing you play is ever uploaded.
Is ASMR Sanctuary safe for children to use?
Yes. Since the site collects no information from anyone, including children under 13, there is no personal data at risk, and COPPA compliance follows automatically from having nothing to collect.
Will this privacy policy ever change?
If practices ever change, for example if analytics were added in a future version, this page would be updated with a clear date stamp describing exactly what changed. As of the last update, no such change has been made.
What if I switch devices or clear my browser?
Because everything lives in localStorage on a single device and browser, switching devices or clearing your browser data starts you fresh with no history. There is no account or server backup to restore from, since none exists.
